Jack Murphy

Goal 4 Leader

Jack has more than 20 years of working for and with Fortune 500 companies in operations, human resources, training and quality areas. The majority of his career was spent with the McGraw Hill Companies, working in North Carolina, New Orleans, New York and Atlanta. After McGraw-Hill, Jack was VP of Quality Management for SunTrust Bank. He also spent time as an entrepreneur, training companies like Delta Airlines and Charter Communications in effective performance management techniques. Currently, he is in the Organizational Development area of the Metro Atlanta Chamber. 

Jack serves on both the national Board of Directors of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul, as well as the Georgia Board of Directors of the organization. He leads the Society's efforts in diversity, advocacy and systemic change.

He is on the Superintendent’s Community Council Board for the Fulton County School System.

Jack was an Adjunct Professor in the MBA program at Keller Graduate School for over 13 years. He taught courses in Human Resources and Management and was the recipient of the Teaching Excellence Award when he retired in 2011. 

Jack has visited Nicaragua to work in an orphanage of special needs children and traveled to Africa to work with a Duluth-based NGO to build a high school in Ghana. He and his wife, an elementary school principal, have two grown daughters.
